So the news I thought I was gonna share unfortunately didn’t work out:(.

Today I have a recipe and in the next two days I’ll have some SERIOUS surprises for the blog!!

Spirulina Salad Pasta

Ingredients:

As much as desired Spirulina
1-2 zuchinni
Bag of spinach
Cherry tomatos
Celery
Line and/or Lemon

To Do:

First spiralize your zucchini in a spiralizer. Then add your spinach bag and cut them both with a knife to get more manageable. Then take a few cherry tomatoes and a few stalks of celery ( celery gives it a great crunch) and finely cut and add to salad. Finely, spoon out your spirulina and squeeze some lime and Lemon on there. I also added some stevia and sea salt to make flavored pop!
Then get dirty and mix it all together until it all green and gooey yuMiness!!!:)
I served it with more celery filled with miso, kelp, and stevia so yum!

Emotions Food and the Colon

Standard

I have recently discovered the power of emotions.

It affects everything. That’s why there is emotional eating and emotional constipation( yes, its real).

When I am happy I digest everything and I am regular.

My challenge to you is to look at your emotions. Wether it be through meditation (listen to the ocean while you do it … it helps:), a therapist, a shauman, etc. Take a look. And heal.

Also the Running Raw channel has some great videos on this and lately he has been so inspirational to me. I love sharing people that inspire me.

Good Luck:)~

Bee Yummy Smoothie (low sugar)

Need:

Frozen zucchini
Irish miss
Vanilla extract
Orange stevia
Bee pollen
Romaine

To do:

Blend zucchini, Irish moss, vanilla, orange, and romaine. Top with LOTS bee pollen and mix it in. Fceel free to mix in powders, cocoa nibs, fruit, extracts and all sorts of stuff!!:)  Make it your own! I love this for the contest because its so simple and anyone can do it.

RECIPES! Can be Raw well combined Pizza and Bomb Salad!

Standard

So as Rande of Vegetable Centric Kitchen  pointed out today is mushroom day so  I have some recipes for you to celebrate (just one with mushroom though:)!

Can be Raw Pizza:

-Desired amount Portabellos (either grilled or  marinated in whatever desired)

-Tahini (raw or roasted whatever you have)

-nutiritonal yeast (opt but HIGHLY recommended- can you raw goat cheese or diaya if you like)

-tomatoes (the juicest ones you can find)

- other options include basil, olives, artichoke  hearts, spinach, avocado, etc.

Directions:

Take your portabello and de-stem it. Then mix tahini with a smidge of water and the nutritional yeast (if  using cheese skip that). Then spread it on your portabello caps. Top with tomato and other desired toppings. ITS SO GOOD.

I like olives, spinach, and artichoke hearts but thats a preference:).

Bomb Salad:

Ingredients:

-Desired Lettuce (I used spinach–loving it lately)

-Cranberries

-Green Olives

-Avocado chunks

-Any other raw veggie that sounds good but a good idea is spiralized cucumber and green onion:)

-Lemon Juice, Sea Salt, Stevia, Kelp Flakes (opt)

Method:

-Put lettuce in bowl. Top with olives, cranberries(cut in half), and other veggies. Add lemon juice and other flavorings. Then top with avocado chunks (keep them chunky it makes it yummy with cranberries). Then mix together and savor).

Tip of the day: Save your green onion white stems and put them in a glass of water and they will regrow fast!

Diet…Is it mental?

Standard

This is a post thats been on my mind for a while now that is diet. There is so much dogma out there theres raw, vegan, paleo, 80/10/10, atkins, south beach, etc…lalala. For every diet there is a group of people it works for and then theres the people who follow no diet and it works out just fine.

For me I truly am starting to believe there is not “perfect right tight”.  It is mind control if you feel right it’ll be right. There is no good or bad in this life. Everything is here for a reason. Yes even raw for all the raw dogma out there right now with cleansing season. It is mental and a lifestyle. When food no longer plagues your mind it will no longer plague your body. You can eat the perfect diet but when all you do is stress about it then it WILL take a toll on your body because your mind is that powerful.

Instead of focusing so much on your diet and finding the perfect cleanse focus on finding something you LOVE MORE than diet.

Enjoy life guys. Go out there, and eat how it TRULY makes you feel best. Just listen to your body it talks.

I’ll be back soon with another post on my thoughts on bikram yoga. Have a nice day!!
